Berhampur, Oct 7:
A shocking incident rocked Berhampur city on Monday evening as senior advocate and BJP leader Pitabas Panda was shot dead near his residence in Brahmanagar under Baidyanathpur police limits.
ସୋମବାର ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟାରେ ବ୍ରହ୍ମପୁର ଶହରର ବୈଦ୍ୟନାଥପୁର ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ବିଜେପି ନେତା ଓ ବରିଷ୍ଠ ଅଧିବକ୍ତା ପିତାବସ ପଣ୍ଡାଙ୍କୁ ଗୁଳି କରି ହତ୍ୟା କରାଯାଇଛି।

କାରଣ (Possible Motive)

According to sources, two unidentified men on a motorcycle opened fire at Panda around 10 p.m.
ସୂତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ ଅନୁସାରେ, ଦୁଇ ଅଜଣା ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ମୋଟରସାଇକେଲ୍ ଉପରେ ଆସି ରାତି 10ଟା ସମୟରେ ପିତାବସ ପଣ୍ଡାଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଗୁଳି ଚାଳିଥିଲେ।
Police are probing whether the attack was politically motivated or linked to his anti-corruption work.

Berhampur police have formed a special investigation team (SIT) and are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the attackers.
